While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose little or absolutely no risk, several dozen have been associated to severe medical problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.
