While many chemicals in beauty products pose limited or zero risk, several have been linked to substantial medical conditions, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and a lot of other ordinary products. However, no type of consumer products is subject to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Lip Gloss (Cool As Colada).
