While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose minimal or absolutely no risk, several have been linked with serious medical conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and several other commonly used products.
