Though the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or absolutely no risk, several dozen are associated to severe health issues, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through the skin and inhalation, and pose similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.
