Although many chemicals in cosmetics present very little or zero danger, several have been associated to significant health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.
