Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in food and many other ordinary goods. However, no classification of consumer goods is susceptible to less government inspection than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Eye Pigment (Violet-6). While many of the chemicals in cosmetics in all likelihood present little risk, being exposed to some has been linked to worrying health conditions, such as cancer.
