Although the majority of chemicals in beauty products pose minimal or no risk, several have been associated with severe medical problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals get into a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.
