Although many chemicals in beauty products pose little or no risk, several dozen have been associated to severe health issues, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food and various other everyday products.
