While most chemicals in beauty products pose limited or absolutely no threat, several dozen are associated to significant health conditions, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and various other ordinary goods. But, no type of consumer goods is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics, including Eyeshadow (Chanel#87). Though many of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics in all likelihood pose very little risk, being exposed to a few has been linked to substantial health issues, such as cancer.
