While many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present slight or absolutely no risk, several dozen have been associated with substantial medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through the skin and inhalation, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
