While many chemicals in beauty products pose little or absolutely no danger, dozens have been associated to severe health conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food and lots of other ordinary goods.
