Though the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or zero threat, dozens have been linked to serious medical issues, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics get into a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.
