While many chemicals in beauty products present little or zero risk, several have been linked to serious health conditions, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and lead to similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in water, food, and various other commonly used items. But, no classification of consumer items is subject to less government management than cosmetics, including Lip Gloss (Cherry Bomb). Though most of the chemicals in cosmetics likely pose minimal risk, exposure to some is associated with critical health problems, such as cancer.
