Though the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose little or zero danger, several have been associated to severe medical conditions, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to a person's body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in food and lots of other common products.
