Although many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present little or zero threat, several have been linked with serious medical conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals invade a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food and many other commonly used goods.
