Although most chemicals in beauty products pose little or no threat, several dozen are associated with severe health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and a lot of other ordinary items. But, no group of consumer items is susceptible to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Lipgloss (Neon Apple Shade).
