Although most chemicals in beauty products pose little or absolutely no risk, dozens have been linked to considerable medical problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and lots of other ordinary products.
