Although many chemicals in cosmetics pose limited or no danger, several dozen have been associated to substantial medical conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
