Although many chemicals in cosmetics pose little or absolutely no threat, several dozen have been linked to substantial health conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in water, food, and several other commonly used items. Yet, no group of consumer items is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Lipgloss (Dollhouse Shade). Though most of the contaminants and chemicals in cosmetics likely present very little risk, subjection to some has been linked to worrying health disorders, including cancer.
