While most chemicals in cosmetics pose hardly any or no danger, several dozen are linked with severe medical problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals linked to cancer can be found in food, water, and many other everyday items. Yet, no group of consumer items is accountable to less government direction than cosmetics, including Light Pink, lip gloss (lip trio).
