Although the majority of chemicals in cosmetics pose little or no threat, several dozen have been linked to severe health conditions, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals linked to cancer are found in food, water, and several other everyday products. However, no classification of consumer products is subject to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Illusion. While most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics almost certainly present very little risk, being exposed to some is linked to worrying health disorders, including cancer.
