While the majority of chemicals in beauty products present very little or absolutely no risk, several are linked with severe health problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.
