While many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics present slight or zero threat, several dozen have been associated with severe health problems, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter your body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and lots of other everyday items. However, no classification of consumer items is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal products, including Concealer (0.75 shade).
