While the majority of chemicals in beauty products pose slight or no danger, some have been associated to serious health problems, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals invade a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in food and several other ordinary products. But, no category of consumer products is accountable to less government direction than cosmetics, including Pro Pencil (#1 shade). While most of the chemicals in cosmetics probably pose very little risk, being exposed to a few is linked to serious health disorders, such as cancer.
