Though many chemicals in cosmetics pose minimal or no risk, several dozen are associated to significant health conditions, including cancer, and neurological harm. Chemicals in cosmetics enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
