Though most chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose limited or zero threat, several have been linked with serious health problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
