While the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose minimal or absolutely no threat, dozens are linked to significant health problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food and many other ordinary items. However, no classification of consumer items is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Dipbrow Pomade (Taupe shade). Though most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics most likely pose little risk, subjection to some is linked to serious health conditions, including cancer.
