Although the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose very little or no risk, some have been associated with significant medical conditions, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
