While the majority of chemicals in beauty products present little or zero danger, several dozen are associated to substantial medical issues, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics invade the body through inhalation, the skin, and ingestion, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food and lots of other commonly used goods.
