Though many chemicals in cosmetics pose minimal or zero risk, several have been linked to serious health problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and cause the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Still, no type of consumer items is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal care products, including CC Cream (Light).
