While most chemicals in beauty products present little or absolutely no danger, several dozen have been linked with significant medical problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food, water, and many other everyday goods. Yet, no sector of consumer goods is subject to less government inspection than cosmetics and other personal products, including Base Cream A. While many of the chemicals in cosmetics almost certainly pose very little risk, exposure to some has been associated with substantial health problems, including cancer.
