While most chemicals in cosmetic products pose limited or zero risk, several dozen have been associated to significant medical problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter a person's body through the skin and inhalation, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in food, water, and lots of other ordinary items. However, no group of consumer items is susceptible to less government inspection than cosmetics, including Perfect Concealer.
