While many chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or no risk, dozens have been linked with significant medical problems, such as neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer can be found in water, food, and a lot of other everyday items. But, no classification of consumer items is susceptible to less government management than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Concealer. Though many of the chemicals in cosmetics very likely present minimal risk, exposure to some has been associated with critical health problems, such as cancer.
