While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present limited or absolutely no threat, several are linked with significant health conditions, including neurological harm and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer are found in food and lots of other everyday items. But, no type of consumer items is accountable to less government oversight than cosmetics, including Powder Foundation. Though many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics very likely present very little risk, being exposed to a few is associated with worrying health problems, such as cancer.
