Though the majority of chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose little or no threat, dozens have been associated to serious medical issues, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and pose similar risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer are found in water, food, and various other ordinary items. But, no group of consumer items is subject to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal care products, including Eye Shadow (Waterfall).
