While most chemicals in cosmetics present minimal or zero risk, several have been associated to serious health conditions, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals can enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, and the skin, and lead to the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
