Though the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products present slight or zero threat, dozens have been linked with significant medical issues, including cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
