While most chemicals in cosmetic products pose little or zero risk, several have been associated to considerable health problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
