Although many chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or zero risk, several are linked to severe health conditions, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Chemicals in cosmetics enter the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and a lot of other common products. Yet, no classification of consumer products is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including NARS Multiple Bronzer.
