While many chemicals in cosmetic products present limited or no risk, dozens have been associated to substantial health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants associated with cancer can be found in water, food, and various other everyday items.
