Though many chemicals in cosmetic products pose minimal or zero threat, some have been associated with serious health issues, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals invade the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.
