While many chemicals in cosmetic products present limited or no danger, dozens have been associated to severe health conditions, such as cancer, and neurological harm. Cosmetic chemicals enter a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose similar dangers as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer can be found in water, food, and many other everyday items.
