Although most chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or absolutely no threat, several dozen have been associated to considerable health problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals enter the body through internal use, the skin, and inhalation, and pose the same risks as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals linked to cancer can be found in water, food, and a lot of other everyday products.
