While many chemicals in cosmetics pose limited or zero risk, several are associated to severe health problems, including cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals invade the body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and cause similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals associated with cancer are found in water, food, and many other common products. But, no category of consumer products is susceptible to less government direction than cosmetics and other personal products, including Eye Shadow Quad.
