While many chemicals in cosmetics pose very little or no threat, several dozen have been linked with severe health problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and lead to similar problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Contaminants and chemicals associated with cancer can be found in food, water, and lots of other ordinary products. Yet, no category of consumer products is accountable to less government management than cosmetics and other personal care products, including ALOE VERA SHAMPOO.
