While the majority of chemicals in beauty products present minimal or zero risk, several have been linked to considerable medical conditions, including developmental delays and cancer. Chemicals in cosmetics gain entry to a person's body through the skin, inhalation, ingestion and internal use, and pose the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.

Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer can be found in food, water, and several other commonly used products. Still, no group of consumer products is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics and other personal products, including Skin Tint F. While many of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics and personal care products probably present very little risk, being exposed to some is linked to critical health conditions, such as cancer.
