Though many chemicals in beauty products and cosmetics pose slight or zero danger, several have been linked with severe medical problems, such as cancer, reproductive and neurological harm, and developmental delays. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through the skin and inhalation, and cause the same problems as food chemicals, per this site.
