Though many chemicals in cosmetic products pose very little or zero threat, some have been linked to considerable health problems, including neurological harm and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals can enter a person's body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose the same dangers as food chemicals, per this site.
