Chemicals and contaminants linked to cancer are found in food and lots of other ordinary items. However, no area of consumer items is susceptible to less government oversight than cosmetics, including gloss. Though most of the chemicals and contaminants in cosmetics most likely present very little risk, being exposed to some has been linked to major health problems, such as cancer.
