While the majority of chemicals in cosmetic products pose slight or no danger, dozens have been linked to serious health problems, such as developmental delays and cancer. Cosmetic chemicals gain entry to the body through ingestion, inhalation, and internal use, and pose similar dangers as food chemicals, per this site.
